New Dismissal Gates for Grades 4 and 5

Beginning Monday, October 14, 2024, Grades 4 and 5 students will be dismissed from the Orrick Gate and Carson Park Gate.

The 216th Gate will be permanently closed.

Founded in 1921, we have been a cornerstone of the community, serving an ethnically and economically diverse population for over 100 years. The stability of the community has allowed our faculty to teach generations along with arrivals new to our Carson Street family. Many of our teachers actually attended Carson Street themselves. Guests frequently comment on the positive vibes they feel when they visit. We provide quality education with rigorous standards-based instruction focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. Our school is an LAUSD STEAM certified school.
